What the heck is cga?

Hey everybody!!

You’ve followed my journey across the world. You guys have been with me since I first came to Christ a year ago, and you guys were here when I said my goodbyes to my teammates and headed back to America. You guys probably thought I had written my last blog, but guess what?! Here I am, new blog page but same me…and I am so grateful for your support.

Before I went on the race I was told countless times it was an awesome opportunity to take a break from school to figure out what you wanted to do. So I went through the whole race, expecting to know what I wanted to do by the end of the 9 months. Every week I had a new plan. Liberty university, school in Hawaii, alumni team leading, moving to Costa Rica, community college… anyway you get the point so many different ideas. I got off the race feeling a bit defeated because I didn’t have a plan. I wasn’t trusting the lord, I wanted to figure it out on my own.

One of my squad mates was doing a program called cga, and I remember her talking about getting accepted to the program and I thought yeaaa I’m not doing that, I had 9 months with the Lord, 5 more seems like a bit much. Man did God completely throw cga at me every opportunity he got after that.

So now I am doing a program called CGA (center for global action.) The best description for cga is that it is a discipleship school. I will be learning how to share the Gospel in America, in the normal mundane day to day things. I will be learning how to share Jesus in the work place, on the street, in the car. CGA will equip me with life skills, as well as leadership skills that not everyone has the opportunity to receive. It’s an awesome opportunity that I can’t pass up.

CGA is run by the same organization that runs the world race, adventures in missions. Most people who go through CGA are asked to step into the role of alumni team leading/ squad leading for world race squads!

CGA is 5 months long, and is all about molding you to look like Christ. Pushing, and pulling. It’s an uncomfortable process, but that’s what the Lord calls us to.

I will be attending class in Gainesville Georgia, we are required to get a job, and volunteer once a week with an organization of our choosing.

With all of this being said I need to raise about 6,000 dollars.

2,000 by the end of this month,

I need to raise 2,000 dollars in 7 days!!

I am trusting that the lord will provide and allow this to be a testimony to his faithfulness.  If you or anyone you know would be interested in donating please don’t hesitate to reach out!
